How to Create and Sell Product Bundles
Product bundles let you combine multiple products into one offer so customers buy more items together instead of purchasing them separately. For example, if you sell phones, a customer buying a phone will probably also need a screen protector and back cover. Instead of selling all three separately, you package them into one discounted combo offer. The customer saves money, you increase your average order value, everybody wins 💰📦
Why Product Bundles Work
Bundles help customers discover related products faster and make buying decisions easier.
Instead of customers forgetting accessories or buying them elsewhere, everything they need is already grouped into one offer with a slightly discounted price.
For example:
- Phone KES 20,000
- Cover KES 1,000
- Screen protector KES 500
Instead of selling them separately at KES 21,500, you can bundle everything at KES 21,000 or KES 20,500 to make the deal more attractive.
Step 1: Open the Bundle Creator
From your merchant admin:
Go to Products, then click Create Bundle at the top of the page.
Step 2: Add Bundle Details
Fill in the normal product information like title, description, category, price, stock, delivery type and images. You can even create categories specifically for bundles, combos or special offers so customers can browse them easily. In the tutorial example, the bundle contains two body splashes, Vanilla Sugar and Asali. Individually they cost KES 445 each, totaling KES 890, but the bundle sells both together for KES 800.
Step 3: Set Product Type as Bundle
When filling the product details, make sure the “What are you selling?” section is set to Bundle, not a normal product.
Step 4: Add Bundle Variants
Inside the variant section, describe the combo clearly. For example, “Vanilla Sugar + Asali” with the selling price and stock quantity.
Step 5: Add Bundle Components
This is the most important section.
Bundle components are the individual products included in the combo. Simply click Add Bundle Product, search for the products you want, then select the correct variants.
In this example:
- Asali for Men
- Vanilla Sugar
Both products are added into the same bundle.
Step 6: Add Images and Create the Bundle
Upload images showing the products included in the combo so customers immediately understand what they’re getting. Then click Create Bundle.
Your bundle will now appear on the website just like a normal product.
Smart Stock Tracking
One of the best things about Uzanga bundles is automatic stock management.
If your bundle contains one Asali bottle and one Vanilla Sugar bottle, buying the bundle automatically reduces stock for both individual products.
For example:
- Asali stock before purchase, 10
- Vanilla Sugar stock before purchase, 10
After one bundle purchase:
- Asali stock becomes 9
- Vanilla Sugar stock becomes 9
Uzanga handles all this automatically behind the scenes.
Why Bundles Increase Sales
Bundles help you move more inventory because customers see complementary products together in one place instead of discovering only one item and leaving.
A good bundle description also helps sell the idea even more. You can explain why the products work well together, why customers should buy both, and why the combo gives better value.
Final Thoughts
Bundles are one of the easiest ways to increase order value on your website.
Customers feel like they’re getting a better deal, while you sell more products in a single order. Setup is simple, stock tracking is automatic, and the bundle behaves just like a normal product on your website.
