How to Post Products Varying by One Option Like Size or Color
One Simple Fix for Better Orders on Your Uzanga Website. If you sell products that come in different sizes, colors, or options, properly setting up variations on your Uzanga website can save you a lot of back-and-forth with customers. Instead of customers buying a product and then messaging you later asking: “Which size did you want?” Your website can let them choose the exact option before checkout 🛒 Here’s how to set it up properly.
Step 1: Create Your Product Normally
Start by creating your product the usual way. Add the product title, description, category, price, stock quantity, and product photos. For example, if you’re posting shoes, you might create something like:
85 Dunk
Then set the price and stock quantity normally.
Step 2: Add Your First Variant
Now move to the variants section. If your product varies by size, your first variant could be: Size 40. If it varies by color, it could be: Blue. If it’s clothing, it could be: Size 8
The idea is that each selectable option should become its own variant.
Step 3: Add More Variants
Click Add Variant for every additional option. For shoes, you might add:
- Size 41
- Size 42
- Size 43
For notebooks, you might add:
- Blue
- Green
- Pink
Each option should be added separately so customers can choose exactly what they want on the website.
Step 4: Attach Photos to the Variants
Attach a photo to each variant. If all variants use the same image, you can simply reuse the same product photo for each one.
This helps the variants display properly on your storefront.
Step 5: Publish the Product
Once all variants are added, publish the product. When customers visit the product page, they’ll now be able to select their preferred option directly from the website before adding the product to cart. For example, they can choose size 41, size 42 or size 43 before checking out.
Why This Matters
A lot of businesses simply write things like: “Available in sizes 40 to 43” inside the product description. But that still creates a problem later because customers can place orders without specifying which size they actually want. That usually forces you to go back to WhatsApp or Instagram DMs to confirm details manually. Setting up proper variations fixes that problem.
Customers select the exact option themselves during checkout, making the ordering process smoother for both you and the customer.
Fewer follow-up messages. Fewer mistakes. Cleaner orders 📦
