- Program name.

- Commission rate.

- Attribution days.

- Your membership status. Attribution days are the number of days a referral can remain eligible after someone uses your link, depending on the program rules. Do not paste an old affiliate link as the target URL, because the portal creates a fresh tracked link for you.Use campaign fields to help you remember where you shared the link:

- Campaign source: The place, for example Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, or newsletter.

-Campaign medium: The format, for example bio link, story, post, video, or message.

- Campaign name: A name for your promotion, for example June launch or skincare review.

Link actions:

- Pause: Temporarily stop the link.

- Resume: Turn a paused link back on.

- Archive: Retire a link you no longer want to use.Captures show how many customer visits were recorded through the link. Captures are not the same as paid sales.

Merchant Programs

Use `Programs` to work with merchant affiliate programs. This page has four main areas:

- Invites.

- Applications.

- Discover Programs.

- Accepted Partnerships.

Merchant Invites

Invites are sent by merchants who want you to join their program. In `Invites`, you can see:

- Merchant name.

- Program title.

- Invite expiry date.

- Invite status.Invites expire after 30 days.

To accept an invite:

1. Click `Accept`.

2. The merchant program becomes an accepted partnership.

To decline an invite:

1. Optionally enter a decline note.

2. Click `Decline`. Only accept programs you actually plan to promote.

Apply To Merchant Programs

In `Discover Programs`, you can browse available merchant programs.

Each program shows:

- Merchant name.

- Program title.

- Default commission rate.

- Release window.

-Your relationship status.

- Whether you can apply.

To apply:

1. Click `Apply` on the program.

2. In `Submit Application`, write a message to the merchant.

3. Click `Submit Application`. Write a useful application message. Include:

- Who you are.

- Where you promote products.

- What type of audience you have.

- Why the merchant's products fit your audience.

- How you plan to promote the merchant. Short or unclear messages may be rejected. The message should be at least a few clear sentences.

Track Applications

In `Applications`, you can see applications you have already submitted. Common statuses:

- Pending review: The merchant has not decided yet.

- Approved: The merchant accepted you.

- Rejected: The merchant declined your application.

- Withdrawn: You cancelled the application.

- Superseded by invite: A merchant invite replaced the application. If an application is still pending, you can click `Withdraw` to cancel it. If you are rejected, read the rejection reason if one is shown. Rejected applications usually have a 30-day wait before you can apply to the same merchant again. You cannot apply to or accept an invite for a business that you own or administer. Uzanga blocks this to prevent self-referrals.

Accepted Partnerships

Accepted partnerships are merchant programs you can promote. The `Accepted Partnerships` area shows:

- Merchant name.

- Program title.

- Your effective commission rate.

- Your release window.

- Status. Effective commission means the rate that applies to you. It may be the merchant's default rate or a special rate the merchant gave you. The release window tells you how long eligible commission may wait after fulfillment before it can be released automatically.

Merchant Referral Links

Use `Links` to create referral links for accepted merchant programs. To create a merchant link:

1. Open `Links`.

2. Choose a merchant program from `Merchant program`.

3. Enter a link name.

4. Enter the target path.

5. Optionally enter campaign source, campaign medium, campaign name, and notes.

6. Click `Create Merchant Link`. The target path is the page inside the merchant store. It should start with `/`.Examples:-`/`-`/products`-`/products/example-product`- `/collections/summer` Do not paste a full website address as the merchant target path. Use the store path only.

Do not paste another affiliate link or a path that already contains affiliate tracking details. The portal creates a fresh tracked link for you. After the link appears in `Merchant Links`, copy the tracking URL and share it.

Link actions:

- Pause: Temporarily stop using the link.

- Resume: Turn a paused link back on.

- Archive: Retire a link permanently from normal use.

Affiliate Coupons

Use `Coupons` to create coupon campaigns for accepted merchant programs. Coupon campaigns are affiliate-funded. This means the shopper gets a discount, and that discount comes out of your gross commission for the sale. Example:

- Your gross commission would be KES 500.

- Your coupon gives the shopper KES 200 off.

- Your net commission becomes KES 300. If the coupon discount uses up the full gross commission, your net commission for that sale may be zero.

To create a coupon campaign:

1. Open `Coupons`.

2. Enter a campaign name.

3. Choose the merchant program.

4. Enter a default code, or leave it blank if you want the system to create one.

5. Choose discount type:

- Percent off.

- Amount off.

6. Enter the percent or amount.

7. Optionally enter max uses total.

8. Optionally enter max uses per customer.

9. Click `Create Coupon Campaign`.After creating, look at `Created Codes`.

Important: Copy the coupon code immediately. The full code is shown when the campaign is created. Later, the portal may show only safe masked details such as the code ending.

Percentage discounts must be above 0% and cannot be above 100%. Fixed amount discounts must be a positive amount. Merchant rules may set stricter limits.

Coupon actions:

- Pause: Stop the coupon temporarily.

- Resume: Turn a paused coupon back on.

- Archive: Retire the coupon campaign. Create a new campaign when you need a fresh promotion. A coupon may fail or be disabled if:

- The merchant does not allow affiliate coupons.

- Your partnership is not accepted.

- The merchant program is not active.

- The coupon code or discount is not allowed.

- The coupon conflicts with an existing code.

How You Earn Commission

A commission can be created when a customer completes a qualifying checkout through your affiliate activity.

Common qualifying activity includes:

- A customer uses your referral link.

- A customer uses your affiliate coupon. The sale must be tracked and paid through an eligible Uzanga flow. Offline or untracked payments may not create payable commission. Pay-on-delivery orders only create payable commission when the payment is recorded through the tracked Uzanga payment flow.

Shipping, delivery, or custom fees may not count toward the commission amount.

How Money Moves From Sale To Payout

The normal flow is:

  1. A customer clicks your link or uses your coupon.
  2. The customer completes a qualifying order.
  3. A commission row appears after the sale is recorded.
  4. The commission is held while the order is completed and reviewed.
  5. The order must be fulfilled.
  6. The merchant may approve the release, or the auto-release window may pass.
  7. The commission becomes eligible for release.
  8. The money is released to your affiliate wallet.
  9. You receive money through your withdrawal method.

Release timing depends on the merchant program and the order status. Approval before fulfillment does not mean immediate payout. Fulfillment still has to happen.

It shows:

  • Affiliate user ID.
  • Affiliate account ID.
  • Account status.
  • Required actions.
  • Wallet status.

Good Promotion Practices

Use one link per campaign or channel so you can compare results.

Name links clearly. Example: Instagram bio June, TikTok skincare video, or WhatsApp launch group.

Use campaign fields consistently.

Send customers to the most relevant page, not always the home page.

Do not create coupons so large that they use up your entire commission unless that is your plan.

Copy coupon codes immediately after creation.

Pause old links or coupons instead of sharing outdated promotions.

Keep your wallet PIN private.

Troubleshooting

I cannot sign in.

Use the latest email link or OTP. If it still fails, request a new one. Make sure you are using the email or phone connected to your affiliate account.

My account says readiness is required.

Open Readiness and complete wallet setup and withdrawal setup.

I cannot discover or apply to merchant programs.

Your wallet and withdrawal method must be ready first. Some programs may also be hidden if the merchant did not enable discovery.

I cannot apply to a program.

You may already have a pending invite, pending application, accepted partnership, or recent rejection for that program.

I cannot create a merchant link.

You must have an accepted partnership with that merchant, the merchant program must be active, and your wallet and withdrawal method must be ready.

I cannot create a coupon.

The merchant may not allow affiliate coupons, or your partnership/program may not be active. Check the error message and try different coupon details.

I lost a coupon code.

The full code may only be shown when the campaign is created. If you did not copy it, create a new coupon campaign with a new code.

My link has captures but no commission.

Captures are visits, not sales. The customer still needs to complete a qualifying checkout.

My commission is held.

Held commission is normal before payout. It may be waiting for fulfillment, merchant approval, the release window, or processing.

My commission was rejected or moved to platform ops hold.

That means the commission needs review. Check any support reason shown in the commission details.

My export is too large.

Exports are limited to 1,000 rows at a time. Use filters to export a smaller set of commission rows.
